Public Comment: Sherman County Coordinated Plan

Columbia Area Transit has resumed most services.

Columbia Area Transit is operating the Hood River City Route, Columbia Gorge Express, Upper Valley and Dial-A-Ride Services. To reduce the spread of COVID-19 passengers must wear masks at all time when riding the bus and distance themselves from others.  Columbia Gorge Express riders must book a ride a day in advance online or by calling 541-386-4202.

MATS Service Suspension

Effective Monday, 3/23/20 Klickitat County Senior Services/Mt. Adams Transportation Service is suspending their fixed route transit shuttles between Goldendale/The Dalles and White Salmon/Bingen/Hood River through April 24th.

The dial-a-ride services will continue as able for essential medical trips such as dialysis.
MATS is following state and federal guidelines in order to assist in slowing the transmission of COVID-19 in our communities.
 
MATS will continue to be able to provide assistance through the agency phone lines for connecting people to services and supports.  Additionally they will continue to provide home delivered meals to seniors in Klickitat County as able with current staff and volunteers.

The Link: Immediate Service Changes
The Link is responding to new temporary federal and state guidelines to keep our community safe and healthy.    
Deviated fixed route:  7 am-4:30 pm, M-F.  Service is free of charge.
Dial-a-Ride:  7 am-4:30 pm, M-F, except for dialysis trips which have extended times.  Essential rides only.  No Saturday service.

The Link: COVID-19

The Link is still operating and working closely with health authorities to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak. Updates can be found here: (mcedd.org/link) if operations change. Meanwhile, the Link has increased cleaning of all vehicles throughout the day and are tracking best practices for transit providers to keep riders and drivers safe.

The best protection is social distancing. If your trips are non-essential, please consider limiting movement and call the Link to cancel your rides at 541-296-7595.
